PIPPS Rx is available only to users located in the following Caribbean countries: Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Guyana, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, The Bahamas, Haiti, and Suriname. This policy applies to all users within these countries.
When you create a free account or sign in with Google, we collect:
PIPPS Rx collects anonymous usage data as described above. We analyse this data in aggregate to identify patterns in drug interaction checking, polypharmacy trends, alert frequencies, and clinical risk signals across our user base.
We may produce and distribute aggregated, de-identified research reports derived from this data. These reports may be provided to healthcare organisations, pharmaceutical companies, academic researchers, public health bodies, or government agencies. At no point does any such report contain personal data, individual user records, or any information that could identify a specific user or patient.

By using PIPPS Rx, you acknowledge and agree that your anonymous usage patterns may contribute to aggregate datasets used for clinical research and healthcare market analysis as described in this section.
Your account data is stored securely on our server infrastructure. Anonymous usage logs are stored in our PostgreSQL database. We do not transfer personal data outside of our secure infrastructure.
PIPPS Rx uses browser local storage to remember your login state and free check count between sessions. We use a session cookie to maintain your login. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
PIPPS Rx operates in compliance with applicable data protection legislation across the Caribbean region, including Jamaica's Data Protection Act 2020, Trinidad and Tobago's Data Protection Act, and equivalent legislation in other supported countries. In addition to the rights described above, you may have additional rights under your country's data protection laws, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Although PIPPS Rx is geographically restricted to the Caribbean, some users within these countries may hold rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — for example, dual citizens or data subjects with EU ties. If you are such a user, the following additional rights apply:
Our legal basis for processing your personal data is legitimate interest — specifically, providing and improving a clinical safety tool. Anonymous usage data used for aggregated research is processed on the same basis, as no personal data is retained in any output.
